Ranger Tracker (rechargeable battery)

Step-by-step production process.

Electronics

Ranger tracker - specific steps

  1. GPS antenna tuning (1590 MHz in air for resin encapsulation)

  2. add PCB spacers

  3. add tag extension 26,6 mm + tag (don't connect "batt" pins)

  4. add tape underneath the tag to protect holes for programming from the resin

  5. add EMI shield (temporarily attached in one corner)

  6. puncturing of batteries

  7. add battery

  8. charging testing

  9. final GPS testing

  10. put the tracker in deep sleep

  11. seal the EMI shield all around with hot glue (the battery should be attached before the glue and the foam protection afterwards)

  12. tape foam protection on the antenova (12x12x17mm)

Mechanics

  1. resin casting in the mould (Electrolube PU resin UR5528, cca. 60g/piece)

  2. engraving of serial numbers (laser parameters: power 30%, speed 150 mm/s)

  3. prepare screws (2x DIN7985 M3x4 rust-free /tracker)

Final checks

  1. provisioning + send correct settings

  2. final test

  3. charge to 4.0V

  4. packaging

  5. final check on TTN

  6. shipping
