Fence monitor - specific steps

  1. GPS antenna tuning (1590 MHz in air for resin encapsulation)

  2. add PCB spacers

  3. add tag extension 33,6 mm + tag (don't connect "batt" pins)

  4. add fence addon with 26,6 mm tag extension - for initial fence test, connect the fence addon with wires

  5. add tape underneath the tag to protect holes for programming from the resin

  6. add EMI shield (temporarily attached in one corner)

  7. puncturing of batteries

  8. add battery

  9. fence testing

  10. charging testing

  11. final GPS testing

  12. put the tracker in deep sleep

  13. seal the EMI shield all around with hot glue (the battery should be attached before the glue and the foam protection afterwards)

  14. tape foam protection on the antenova (12x12x17mm)

Electronics assembly

Januar 2021 batch - disconnect 2.5V / remove resistor

For initial fence test, connect the fence addon with wires. (Jan 2021 - only GPIO1 and GND on lion board)

Do NOT perform the fence test when completely assembled without the resin.

Calibration

Each fence sensor is calibrated to output the same energy level on a reference source. These measurements do not represent measurements in kV and must be scaled to that range in the decoder.

Send to port 93 a 2 byte value with the calibration factor multiplied by 10000; For example, the sensor is returning 1300 (pulse_voltage), we wish to calibrate this to 1800. Calculating from this 1.3846 factor, multiplied is 13856, convert this to hex 0x3616. Send this via downlink. To reset the values send 2 byte value 2710 (hex 0x2710) to port 93.
