CO2 Regulation

CO2 regulation was tested continuously for 1 week, sustaining a stable level of the target concentration (5%) as long as the incubator was closed. Initially the prototype showed substantial leaking of the internal gas mixture, resulting in a CO2 loss of 90g per 24h, which was attributed to perforations in the incubator, as a result of hardware modifications. After improving the gas sealing between housing and door, CO2 loss has been reduced to 26g per 24h. Sealing will be further improved with the released version of the incubator, which will exhibit minimal hardware changes and optimized perforation sizes.
